Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

Goodreads summary:
"At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter's cheating on her--and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one..."

This was my first Colleen Hoover book and I was really impressed and can see why so many people rave about her. This book kept me on a emotional rollercoaster and It was a really great read. I did have minimum problems and issues with the story but I also had some great things to say about it as well.

To start off I just want to talk about Ridge. He is such a great unique genuine character that I really enjoyed and was one of my favorites but I felt like Ridge character was a little to good to be true sometimes.. I felt that he would say or do certain things that I don't think many people, guys in specifically would think of during situations. Ridge is a amazing guy and super special in his own way don't get me wrong about that. But I felt that in some situations in reality those things probably most likely won't happen.

Another thing that pushed my buttons a bit was the love triangle. I felt that Sydney felt so needy in some parts and it just didn't feel good. I understand how there was always some excuse for things not to work out which made Sydney neediness increase a bit and I just wanted to find out the end solution by then.

Even though I had a few issues with the story I did enjoy a lot of what the story had to offer. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the mystery behind Ridge that you find out in the story and it completely sets the reader in a whole new tone in reading and gets the reader prepared for something different and heartwarming. I love the aspect of the story line at some points, I loved how music played a big part in the story as well. I enjoyed the roles other characters played in the story and how they contribute to each situation in Sydney and Ridges life. This book had me laughing, smiling and crying overall.

This story was truly heartbreaking, heartwarming, and simply memorable.
I encourage EVERYONE and ANYONE to read this book!!!

Thanks for reading!
