Me and Mr.Darcy by Alexandria Potter
Goodreads summary:
"After a string of disastrous dates, Emily Albright decides she’s had it with modern-day love and would much rather curl up with Pride and Prejudice and spend her time with Mr. Darcy, the dashing, honorable, and passionate hero of Jane Austen’s classic. So when her best friend suggests a wild week of margaritas and men in Mexico with the girls, Emily abruptly flees to England on a guided tour of Jane Austen country instead. Far from inspiring romance, the company aboard the bus consists of a gaggle of little old ladies and one single man, Spike Hargreaves, a foul-tempered journalist writing an article on why the fictional Mr. Darcy has earned the title of Man Most Women Would Love to Date.
The last thing Emily expects to find on her excursion is a broodingly handsome man striding across a field, his damp shirt clinging to his chest. But that’s exactly what happens when she comes face-to-face with none other than Mr. Darcy himself. Suddenly, every woman’s fantasy becomes one woman’s reality"

When you go look at this book on Goodreads it wont have that many good reviews but when you read the reviews you will notice not many people tried getting to atleast page 100 because it was to "weird". I'm not sure about everyone else but I actually enjoyed this book. It made me laugh and blush in some parts. I am one of those horrible people who haven't read Pride & Prejudice yet and that's probably why most people did not enjoy or finish the book because of the fantasy Emily has of Mr. Darcy and how it's alittle different from the original Mr.Darcy I assume but I still didn't think the Mr.Darcy fantasy were that
bad like everyone is saying. I found that the fantasy were their for a purpose and had a reason and meaning in being in the story for a development of Emily character in a way.
YES! The fantasy were a little weird and unexplainable but it wasn't terrible. I personally think it was added in the book to get the reader into thinking Emily has 1 love interest but then turns out to be someone else which sorta then makes the story a little predictable for the ending but I still think it was a fun, quick, easy read. If you get past and comfortable with the fantasy you will begin to see how funny and unique all the characters in the story are. Each character were so different and fun I wanted to meet and have friends just like Emily.
One thing I loved and could relate to with Emily was her love for books. I found myself taking pictures and laughing at certain things that happen to Emily that many booknerds could relate to.
Overall I did enjoy the book it was quick and funny. I recommend you give it a chance and form your own opinion on it. But I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for reading♡
